Most common amp spec used for marketing

Maximum power measurement, regardless of how short the duration. A single click, almost always measured at 1kHz. Utterly meaningless in subwoofer applications.

Program

Usually 50% of PEAK

A vague rating indicating the maximum dynamic power, usually specified using very little bass content.

RMS EIAJ

Repeating Burst RMS

A 25% duty cycle measurement. Below 125Hz, these amplifiers can only deliver as little as 1/4 their rated power. Output power at frequencies below 125Hz should be de-rated by up to 75%.

RMS CONTINUOUS

ALL BASSBOSS SUB AMPS

BASSBOSS subwoofer amps deliver 100% of their rated output continuously, as a sine wave, at sub-bass frequency range. There is no reduction in power at deep bass frequencies. Amplifiers rated this way can deliver up to 8X more power at low frequencies than amplifiers rated to have the same “number of watts”, specified by another method.
