DV12-MK3 Single 12" Loudspeaker
The ultimate portable powerhouse on a pole, this is the Mobile Pro's choice.
Makes it all Good
You are a mobile DJ or you have a production company. Your reputation is valuable. Your time is valuable. You want a speaker that's flawless for every gig you do. If you need to cover the largest number of people with the smallest number of boxes, you’re looking at the right loudspeaker.
Fulfilling Full-Range
The game changer! Legendary output and clarity with full-range performance that will make audiences think you brought a sub. Extremely wide coverage provides, clean, loud and full sound over the whole room.
Family Stories
Used them in an Outdoor event. A trusted person commented on the "shocking" amount of clarity. "I don't think people are used to hearing this level of clarity". But it was never harsh. It never hurt. Kids dancing and having a blast, not plugging their ears like I've seen when attending other people's shows.
It's rather remarkable to me how much SPL these boxes have. 2 DV12s replaced 4-15 inch tops. They have more headroom, throw further, and sound better doing it.
Now I need to sell a kidney and get some damn subs in here. I'm sold. My goal was to buy the "last set of tops I'll ever need".
Mission accomplished.
(4) BB15’s and (2) DV12’s absolutely crushhhhing a 200 person party with thunderous bass.
People could not believe how much power and low end came out of such small subs.
They were standing between the two stacks and rubbing them all night 😂
I am always getting compliments for the sound quality at parades and car shows. The sound carries for several blocks... The bass you hear (and feel) in front of the port is the same bass you experience a block-and-a-half away! No other speaker has that much fidelity at that distance - none. BASSBOSS for the win at these events!
These speakers bring everything that’s required for impact and clarity without bottoms. If you need to stick and move with very little payload, two DV12 speakers get it done. ✅ A plus for this team of Pros!!!
Vocals are amazing and effortless. It’s definitely pushing all the way to the back of the room, effortlessly. Wow, I’m blown away! Kick sounds fantastic. Absolutely fantastic! Even with a huge crowd the articulation is wow!
We have been getting nothing but compliments in the studio about those speakers and they sound amazing on our mobile events. These can become the defacto standard for the Mobile world. They sound unbelievable and I just wanted to let you know!! You nailed it with the DV12's.
Get High Go Low

At BASSBOSS, with the MK3 line we have stopped using “Peak” and “RMS” power ratings for our amplifiers because those numbers alone are not an accurate representation of the real-world performance you can expect from our powered loudspeaker systems.
Peak Watts:
- Essentially a theoretical maximum that the amplifiers could output for an instantaneous moment under ideal conditions with no load.
- However, this peak power is not sustainable and has little practical relevance for how the loudspeakers will actually perform.
RMS (root mean square) Watts:
- A measure of continuous power output, but even this figure doesn’t account for the true efficiency of how that power is converted into acoustic output by the transducers and overall speaker design.
- The number of watts a loudspeaker “uses” is constantly fluctuating based on the impedance curve, frequency response, and heat generated in the voice coils.
- Simply looking at how many watts an amplifier can produce on a test bench doesn’t translate to its real-world sound output capability.
What matters most is the complete integrated loudspeaker system and how efficiently it can convert the amplifier’s power into acoustic output while maintaining flat frequency response and headroom. Two loudspeakers with the same wattage ratings could have vastly different real-world sound pressure levels and clarity.
For these reasons, we believe wattage ratings alone are not a reliable metric. Listening tests and measurements of the overall system’s output capabilities like maximum SPL and distortion are far more telling than any peak or RMS wattage number viewed in isolation.
Our goal is to provide outstanding performance through intelligent system design, not just big wattage numbers.
Why the DV12-MK3?
The DV12-MK3 is the ultimate portable powerhouse on a pole. The DV12-MK3s wide horizontal coverage and tight vertical coverage allow its output to be appropriately focussed on the audience in the vast majority of spaces in which events are held. These are spaces where the floor (or ground) is level and the audience is spread out to the extents of the space, which could very well be 90% of the events out there.
Because the DV12-MK3 has a tight vertical pattern and a built-in 4-degree downward angle, the higher you raise it, the farther it can cover. The tight vertical pattern imposes a limit, meaning you can't raise it too high or the nearest listeners will start to miss out on the high-frequency detail. It also means you can't operate it too low or the people behind the nearest listeners won't hear the high frequencies pretty much at all. The DV12-MK3 works best when it's between 5.5 feet and 8 feet from the ground. Above 8' it gets impractical. When the DV12-MK3 is 8 feet from the ground, it's tweeter is almost 10 feet from the ground, at which point the closest members of the audience are getting a little too far off-axis of the highs. So that's the mechanics of their deployment. What else makes them so good? Parts, power and processing.
The parts are premium, the power is plentiful and the processing is plug-and-play. The woofer is a beast. Yes, it could be in a 12” subwoofer cabinet. If you want your tops to be able to give you some strong low-end, the DV12-MK3s are not shy of bass. The tweeter is exactly the same part as used in the flagship MFLA line array. And as for the power, we didn't hold back there. It's the same amp that's used in the MFLA line array, too. The DSP is, you guessed it, the same. To say this is an ultra-premium loudspeaker would not be, in any way, an exaggeration. The processing is different because the application is different.
The processing is high-functioning, allowing you to use the DV12-MK3 as a full-range main, or combine the DV12-MK3 with any BASSBOSS sub, and simply pick the preset that works best for you. When you're asking the DV12-MK3 to deliver 45Hz bass, it's gets pretty loud. When you're asking it for an octave or so less bass, it gets even louder. Speaking of louder, the DV12-MK3s can be arrayed. If you have 4 cabinets, you have 2 very capable systems that can each cover an event. If you need one larger system for a bigger event, the DV12-MK3s can be arrayed. Not arrayed side-by-side, resulting in a cluster of comb-filtering, they can be arrayed vertically, giving you the equivalent performance of a small line-array. Coherent +6dB summation that retains the same 120-degree horizontal coverage. There really is nothing else like the DV12-MK3.
Straight Specs
At BASSBOSS we believe in power, precision, and practicality. While others in the industry may rely on theoretical calculations or skewed metrics, we provide real-world performance measurements. Performance claims that can't be met are worse than irrelevant, they are deceptive.
If you compare our specs to many in the loudspeaker industry, our specifications might seem rather unimpressive. That's certainly not because the products are underperforming, it's because we choose to tell you the truth instead of marketing hype. We bring you the reality of what our products can actually deliver in real-world conditions. We believe that should matter most to anyone who actually lives in the real world.
Many manipulate data in order to paint an exaggeratedly rosy picture of their products. Things like calculating peak output instead of measuring it, or quoting peak output figures based on output at frequencies outside the operational range of the loudspeaker, or quoting output that's achieved without the necessary processing having been applied. These methods churn out inflated specifications that don't match up to any actual, achievable levels. At BASSBOSS, we like to keep it real. We provide our “Maximum Measured Output" ratings, reporting the levels that we have actually measured our products reaching, and that's with all the filters and limiters in place, exactly the way you receive them. In our book, authenticity always wins.
Champion Components
Every single item in the BASSBOSS lineup echoes our unwavering dedication to superior quality. From the awe-inspiring capacity of our largest festival rigs to the compact portability of our smaller systems, each piece is crafted to meet the same standards, to be exceptional on its own merits. This guarantees that every beat you feel and every song you hear is delivered with the clarity, power and steadfast reliability that are the hallmarks of the BASSBOSS experience.
As part of our commitment to exceptional quality, BASSBOSS goes the extra mile to ensure the components we use are the very best in every application. The best, in this context, doesn't always mean the most exotic, the most expensive, or having the most impressive specifications. It means the best for that particular purpose. Factors like frequency response and efficiency have to be backed up with long-term consistency of performance, long-term reliability, and fitness for purpose. We source top-tier components, from the best-reputed suppliers in the industry, just like every other high-end loudspeaker manufacturer.
If there is a difference between BASSBOSS and the other buyers of these same premium components, it's in the expectations we have for our systems. We didn't grow up on rock-n-roll, we grew up in the age of electronic instruments, digital recordings and deep bass. The demand for more and more SPL at lower and lower frequencies isn't something we're trying to catch up with, it's something we've been leading for years. Those bigger competitors eventually try to build products to do what we do when the demand gets big enough for them to do it. Meanwhile, for years we've been building the products that created that demand. By the time you're able to buy anything similar from them, we're already making the next insanely powerful product they'll eventually try to compete with. They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Prodigious Power
The DV12-MK3 features 3200W of amplification. With 2400W of its power available for the woofer and 800W available to the tweeter, power is plentiful. The amp's high peak-output voltage provides for very intense, high SPL hits. An auto-sensing, globally compatible power supply that can run on input voltages anywhere between 90 and 250 Volts ensure it can work wherever you take it. Full output power is available on anything over 110V. The amplifier is passively cooled via its external heat sink and by woofer-generated air flow through the port. When necessary, two blower fans will engage to provide additional forced-air cooling capacity in more extreme conditions.
Every BASSBOSS product comes equipped with amplification, and in every case, a generous supply of power is provided. Headroom is the term used to describe power that's still available when the sound is at the level required, and the BASSBOSS amps provide ample headroom. While it's necessary to have limiters in the DSP to prevent driver overload, those limiters aren't there to prevent amplifier clipping. There is enough power in every product to reach its maximum SPL without the risk of clipping the amplifier.
In other words, the amplifier is never the bottleneck in delivering powerful low frequencies, dynamic impact and clear sound. This abundant power capacity not only keeps overheating at bay but also eliminates the potential for damage caused by clipping an underpowered amp. With BASSBOSS, you've got the power to keep your sound pumping.
Thumping Transducers
Amplifier power is converted into the much more desirable acoustical power by a substantial, neodymium motor, a 12-inch woofer with a 4-inch (100mm) voice coil and a compression driver with a 3-inch (76mm) voice coil mounted to a 1.4-inch (35mm) throat cast-aluminum isophasic waveguide.
Neodymium magnets are lighter, and their higher intensity provides higher efficiency, so the result is a lighter and louder cabinet than those with ferrite drivers.
The protection systems involve several techniques running simultaneously to effectively prevent thermal overload of the voice coils and limit excessive excursion. Reducing thermal saturation not only prevents burned voice coils, it also minimizes long-term thermal compression. Due to the sophistication of these multiple, independent yet simultaneous processes, the drivers can be protected while the actions of the limiters have virtually no noticeable effect on the transient response of the loudspeaker. Peak output can be achieved consistently, repeatedly and safely.
We understand that real-life situations can sometimes be messy. That's why we've waterproofed our cones to withstand accidental exposure to moisture – whether it's an unexpected rain shower or a spilled drink.
Choice Cabinets
The DV12-MK3 is a 2-way, Single 12-inch self-powered, vented, direct-radiating full-range that provides very wide horizontal coverage through it's line-array derived high-frequency section. The design incorporates a 4-degree down-angle that ensures even distribution of high-frequency energy from front-to-back of a venue when the DV12-MK3 is placed at the appropriate height on a tripod or support pole.
BASSBOSS cabinets are designed to endure for a very long time. Built from robust Birch plywood, our construction process involves precise dado joints, cleverly integrated bracing, and cutting-edge adhesives to create sturdy, rigid cabinets that stand the test of time. With a little care in handling, and especially with the use of covers, BASSBOSS cabs can look new years down the line, even after being in many demanding environments and less-than-ideal locations.
The cabinets are protected by a rugged black polyurea coating that's specially formulated to bond to wood. Amplifiers are recessed into the back of the cabinets, safeguarding them from impact damage, with the cabinet recesses also functioning as structural braces. Powder-coated, perforated steel grilles protect the woofers. Every effort is made to create a physical enclosure that will stand up to whatever you throw at it, giving you years and years of solid service.
Should you ever need more sound than can be produced by one DV12-MK3 per side, its invertible array feature allows the perfect summing of two speakers, which provides a big increase in output and projection without compromising the crystal clarity. To further utilize the advantages of the line-array waveguides, the DV12-MK3s are designed to stack with the HF lenses vertically aligned. This allows the high-frequency sections of two boxes to sum perfectly as they would in a line array while the low-frequency sections sum in a column for improved low-frequency directivity and greatly increased output. There is finally a speaker that allows two completely functional stereo systems to be combined into one without having to compromise, either when they are together, or when they are separated.
Additional features include a 38mm (1-3/8-inches) cast metal pole socket, eight fly points and six handles. The amplifier is recessed from the back of the cabinet to protect it in transit. A perforated steel grill protects the woofer, and its progressive perforation pattern serves to broaden midrange dispersion. The high-frequency lens and port are left clear of the grill to minimize reflections and airflow noise that could compromise sound quality.
Processing Perfection
Proprietary DSP design techniques are at the core of the BASSBOSS line. Every BASSBOSS product features dedicated and integrated signal processing. Proprietary measurement and processing systems allow BASSBOSS products to deliver superior performance and value compared to others of similar size, price or coverage. The innovative, sophisticated protection in the DSP allows the drivers to run louder and longer and remain reliable. The nature of the processing, along with the proprietary limiters, allows the speakers to maintain their character and sound quality to a level higher than you might believe possible.

Insane Improvements
The MK3 series, available now, brings an upgraded DSP with an immense boost in processing power. Operating at a sampling rate of 96kHz, it delivers double the resolution of its predecessors, resulting in increased fidelity and a lower noise floor.
The MK3 series doesn't stop there. It provides you with eight meticulously tailored preset alignments, all readily available at the click of a button. Further improving your user experience, the system now enables immediate preset switching with zero signal dropouts, ensuring smooth transitions even if you choose to make preset changes during performances.
This is where excellence meets simplicity: our systems can be connected directly to your mixer, requiring nothing more than a signal cable for you to have all the control you need to achieve great sound. The eight directly accessible presets are compatible with all the presets in all MK3 Boxes and are also compatible with previous generation tops and subs.
For those who need more control, there is more available.
Functionality Fortified
The new DSP features an Ethernet interface. Connecting via the ControlBASS software offers remote control and monitoring from a computer, and allows access to essentially unlimited presets through updates and new releases. With a computer connected, the MK3 DSP features access to a storage capacity of up to 100 on-board presets.
Within the software, multiple cabinets can be grouped together, allowing them to respond to commands simultaneously. This permits the levels of multiple loudspeakers to be adjusted together, and yet independently from the levels of other groups of loudspeakers. In addition to individual and grouped level controls, presets can be loaded and signal levels and temperatures can be monitored.
The MK3 series further expands its functionality with an integrated 2-port network switch, enabling cascaded LAN configurations to easily group loudspeakers for centralized control, making the MK3 series the ultimate tool for taking the reins of your sound experience.

System simplicity, scalability, and sonic excellence: The experience becomes yours.
Let's Talk about Peak vs. RMS
At BASSBOSS, with the MK3 line we have stopped using “peak” and “RMS” power ratings for our amplifiers because those numbers alone are not an accurate representation of the real-world performance you can expect from our powered loudspeaker systems.
Peak watts is essentially a theoretical maximum that the amplifiers could output for an instantaneous moment under ideal conditions with no load. However, this peak power is not sustainable and has little practical relevance for how the loudspeakers will actually perform.RMS (root mean square) watts is a measure of continuous power output, but even this figure doesn’t account for the true efficiency of how that power is converted into acoustic output by the transducers and overall speaker design.
The number of watts a loudspeaker “uses” is constantly fluctuating based on the impedance curve, frequency response, and heat generated in the voice coils. Simply looking at how many watts an amplifier can produce on a test bench doesn’t translate to its real-world sound output capability.
