Six months after taking his BASSBOSS-powered rental business full-time, Luca Graziani delivered a complete system for 3,000 people at Under the K Bridge.
New York, NY, October 29, 2026 — As AI changes what office work looks like, Luca Graziani is building a business around something it can’t do: put concert-grade sound in front of a live crowd. His company, Audio Stage Gear, has gone from one major event a year to running several productions at once, with Under the K Bridge its largest yet.
“It’s going to be very hard to find an AI that replaces a sound installation,” Graziani said.

A Career Change on His Own Terms
Graziani studied computer science and spent 20 years in project management, at one point running 20 projects at once for a large company. Music ran alongside all of it. He started DJing at 15, went on to produce events, and joined the Burning Man community in 2009.
In early 2024, at Love Burn in Miami, he heard a BASSBOSS system for the first time. That May, he bought his first two SSP118 subwoofers to improve the sound at his camp’s fundraisers. The collection kept growing, and he began renting it out to cover the storage costs. When his project-management contract ended in late 2025, Graziani chose to put his experience into the company he already had. By early 2026, Audio Stage Gear was his full-time job. He ran it like any project he’d managed, putting in 12-hour days to build the website, work referrals, and pitch New York event producers directly. Many had never heard BASSBOSS, so he offered first-time rates to get the system in front of them. Once they heard it, many booked again.
Graziani returned to Love Burn Miami in 2026, merging an established camp with his own camp, bringing one of the largest sound systems. What started with just two subwoofers grew into a full-scale production capable of powering one of the festival’s largest gatherings.
“If you have a real passion for something, you can become excellent at almost anything if you’re willing to put in the effort,” he said. “I learned by doing. Anyone who builds a successful company shares two things: passion for what they’re building and the determination to put in the work to make it happen.”

3,000 People Under the K Bridge
In September, Audio Stage Gear provided sound for a concert at Under the K Bridge with six headliners, each with its own technical rider. The main stage used two cardioid stacks of three Makara double-21-inch subwoofers, six AT212 dual-12-inch loudspeakers arrayed horizontally, six ZV28 double-18-inch subwoofers between the stacks, and four CCM12 center fills. AT212s, VS21s, and DJ18s covered the delays, and DV12s served two VIP areas and the DJ booth.
The gear was only half the job. Riders kept changing, and one headliner arrived 30 minutes before his set with effects that had to be wired into the main mixer mid-show. Graziani ran a second mixer on stage to adjust the DV12 monitors without touching the crowd sound, then spent the night walking every zone to make sure the coverage held.
For Graziani, execution comes down to anticipating the unexpected. “You always have a backup plan and stay ready to pivot,” he said. “A successful production isn’t one without problems. Complications happen every night. The key is fixing them fast enough that the audience never notices.”
The low end was felt on stage. Midway through the night, the lighting technician called Graziani back because the next DJ’s CDJs were sliding across the table, and the crew taped them down before the set.
One of the Headliner DJs, known for Afro House and Tech House sets, performed on the system.
“I’ve played over 6,000 shows in more than 60 countries, and I have never heard a sound system quite like this,” said the Headliner.
From One Event a Year to Several at Once
Before Graziani went full-time, Audio Stage Gear handled one major event a year. In August 2026 it handled six. This Halloween it is running several productions in parallel, including three rooms at City of Gods in Brooklyn and an installation inside Manhattan’s historic Surrogate’s Courthouse.
Most of Graziani’s clients want more than entry-level speakers but can’t justify the cost of premium touring systems. For events of around 300 people, his most requested setup is a pair of vertical columns, each a Makara or ZV28 subwoofer topped with an AT212. For larger or more complex rooms, his inventory runs from compact SV9 fills to flagship Makara subwoofers.
Graziani plans to build Audio Stage Gear’s name in New York, then expand city by city, bringing BASSBOSS to places where it is hard to find today.
